Classification of the Ar’home system: Skeletal & Muscular / Respiratory

I attribute each of the essential oils that I use to a system in the human body (ex: reproductive, respiratory, endocrine, etc.).

Properties

Analgesic, mild antispasmodic; anti-inflammatory; anti-rheumatic; expectorant; respiratory anti-infectious; antibacterial and antiparasitic medium; hypotensive; mosquito repellent.

A more detailed introduction: Despite its common name, Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil does not possess the distinctive cineole (camphor-like) aroma that Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus radiata are known for because it contains very little cineole. Instead, it possesses a lovely, sweet lemon aroma.

Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil contains approximately 80% citronellal, an aldehyde that is strongly responsible for its aroma, antimicrobial properties and insect repellent capabilities.

Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil is a powerful fungicidal and bactericidal, and a valuable asset when treating athlete’s foot. It is also effective against a wide range of respiratory conditions such as asthma, sinusitis, phlegm, coughs and colds, as well easing sore throats and laryngitis.

Aromatically, Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil possesses a delicate lemon aroma that I find more beautifully sophisticated than that of Lemon Myrtle or Lemon Tea Tree essential oils. It blends especially well with essential oils in the citrus, medicinal, wood and floral families.

Vaporized, lemon eucalyptus oil has a reviving and refreshing action that uplifts, and is also calming for the mind. Emotionally, Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil is an energizing, uplifting essential oil that isn’t too overpowering or stimulating.

It also makes an excellent insect repellent, and can be used alone or in blends with other respected E.O such as citronella, lemongrass, cedar atlas …
